It’s been over a month and a half since hotcakes took the WAX world off its feet! In that time we’ve minted over 7400 Sticker NFTs and have had over 170 people link their account in telegram. Great work everyone!
Series 1
Series 1 is coming to an end! Take a look at the codex to view all of the stickers that have been released so far.
As of right now Series 1 will have 40 total stickers. This number may increase depending on future promos, but that should make it no more than 45.
Games
In case you didn’t know, each telegram game (Sticker Digger, Sticker Fisher and Sticker Stealer) has 3 possible rewards that you can win at any given time. Once all of the rarities for each reward have been found for a game, 3 new rewards will be added (we will refer to this as a wave).
As of right now each game will only have 2 waves. That means that once all 3 stickers in wave 2 are found, the game will be closed until further notice. For example, this means that once all of the rarities of Excavator, Mole and Rattlesnake stickers have been found, Sticker Digger will be closed.
Additionally, once the last game is closed, Robot NFTs will stop appearing in the main chat.
Challenges
So far we have had 5 airdrop challenges. There will be a 6th and final Series 1 challenge, to be announced shortly. The reward for that challenge will only come in one rarity.
Stamps
At the end of the final airdrop challenge, every stamp owner will be eligible to receive a Magic Rabbit sticker. If you own an Eternal Stamp, the NFT will be airdropped to you automatically. If you own a Magic Stamp (Series 1), you will be offered a trade (the Magic Rabbit for the Magic Stamp), and the Magic Stamp will be subsequently burned.
There will only be 35 of these stickers ever minted. As always the mints will be distributed in random order.
Important: If you purchased an Eternal Stamp you may be eligible for a buy-back refund due to the uncertainty of Series 2 (see below). Please contact @slipery on telegram for more information (I will try to contact you)
Series 2
Series 1 has been a lot of fun… but also a lot of work — and I need a break. I am also a little uncertain about the current state of WAX. As a result, there is no timetable for when a Series 2 of hotcakes will exist.
If/when Series 2 is created, it will be in a different format than Series 1. I know a lot of you are probably content with playing these fun telegram mini-games, but as a developer I’d like to do something a little bit more in-depth if I’m going to spend the time anyway. I also want to make sure I have the time and resources to make Series 2 the best it can possibly be.
With that being said, the telegram chat will remain open and I will be continuously monitoring the community. Remember that hotcakes was created originally as a collectible sticker NFT (with no real utility), and that’s what it will return to until Series 2.
